Electric Vehicles (EV) pose explosion, flash fire, toxic gas and other hazards to all responders and post-incident handlers. EV fires pose a significant threat to infrastructure and property. This awareness course illustrates the hazards of EV response and measures to keep uniformed responders prepared and safe, make informed decisions, regarding safety and post-incident vehicle disposition.
The primary audience for this hazards awareness and risk management training includes first and second responders, law enforcement, fire investigators, towing, recovery, impound, and automotive recycling operators.
This awareness course is an excellent tool for local government policy-makers and code enforcement staff to evaluate the threat to public safety and infrastructure.
